Most baby animals are cute - they're sort of soft, cuddly and defenceless. But what about adults?

Well, the World Wildlife Fund has launched a fun project, searching the globe to find the World's Cutest Animal.

Every two weeks they'll visit a different continent where you can vote for its cutest animal. Once the votes are in, the finalists will vie for the title of World's Cutest Animal. Every vote counts!

Voting for Africa is now in progress and South America starts on January 20, so don't delay if you'd like to have your say.

For many of us who can only dream of getting there, Tanzania's Ngorongoro Crater holds a magnetic, almost mystical attraction.

In addition to the abundance of wildlife in a spectacular setting, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is being seen "as the blueprint for conservation in Africa, with the land, the wildlife and the people fully integrated".

If you'd like to find out more about this fascinating conservation area, I can recommend Duncan Butchart's article, Bowl of Plenty - Tanzania's Magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.
