Camera: Canon EOS 50D; Lens Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM; Shutter speed: 1/1600; Aperture: f/7.1; ISO: 400.

Cheetah Diet: Cheetah, because of their weight and hunting technique, usually prefer to hunt for small to medium-sized antelope such as steenbok and impala. They will occasionanlly go for larger prey, but only if there are two or more in their group such as a mother with nearly grown-up cubs or a coalition of males.

Cheetah will stalk their prey until they get within striking distance, then sprint in for the kill over a short distance, usually only a couple of hundred meters. They bring down the quarry using a front paw to trip the victim then smother it by clenching the throat with their teeth.

Permitted Uses: See Terms of Use.
