This egyptian goose was photographed on a friends' farm at Curry's Post in the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal. It was relatively tame and happy to wander round the garden and even inside the house, unperturbed by people. Then it vanished, either gone off with a partner to do what adult geese do, or possibly killed by a wild or domestic animal. My friends are hoping it will return in due course, maybe with a family in tow.
