Location: The Kruger National Park is South Africa's flagship wildlife reserve and offers a game-viewing and safari experience that ranks with the best in Africa.

The park covers nearly 2 million hectares and is home to an impressive diversity of flora and fauna, including 507 different birds and 147 types of mammal.

Kruger Park is mainly a self-drive destination with a good infrastructure of roads, although many safari operators are now offering guided tours in specially constructed game-viewing vehicles. For those overnighting in the reserve, accommodation options include chalets, bungalows, tents, bush lodges and private safari lodges.
