Location: The Kruger National Park, established in 1898, is South Africa's flagship wildlife reserve and offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.

It lies between the Limpopo River to the north and the Crocodile River to the south and is roughly 80km wide and 320k (200 miles) long. As such, it is home to an impressive diversity of flora and fauna, including 507 different birds and 147 types of mammal.

Kruger Park is mainly a self-drive destination with good accommodation options including chalets, cottages, bungalows, tents, caravan and camp sites, bush lodges and private luxury safari lodges.
