Lion Poster - "Lion in the Grass No.1"
This lion poster of a golden-maned lion is from a photograph taken in South Africa's Kruger National Park.The lion was a member of a pride that had recently killed a zebra. Well-fed, he was now relaxing in the grass, some scraps from the kill guarded jealously between his giant paws.
His left eye showed signs of recent injury, possibly from a porcupine quill. Lions are reputed to love porcupines and there were fresh remains of a porcupine nearby.
