Camera Equipment: The photograph was taken with a Canon EOS Elan film camera and Canon EOS 80-200m F2.8 zoom lens, using slide film scanned on a Fuji Frontier.

Location: Mashatu Game Reserve is a private reserve situated in the Tuli Block region in the eastern corner of Botswana. Although not as popular as Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta, the area is nevertheless a recognised safari destination because of excellent wildlife viewing and photo opportunities. Big herds of elephant frequent the area, together with predators like lion, leopard, cheetah, and hyena.
