The Natal Francolin is one of about a dozen species of francolin found in southern Africa. Because they're very local in their habitat, these birds have developed differently, depending on the conditions of their environment. As in this photo, taken at Satara Camp in the Kruger Park, the Natal Francolin typically has a pink bill and red legs but, unlike the Red-billed Francolin, does not have bare skin around the eye.
