This male Redheaded Weaver, prominent it its scarlet breeding plumage, was flitting around busily in the grass and small shrubs close to the ground, collecting building materials for a new nest. It was quite close to the road, so we were able to watch its antics and try for photos whenever it paused briefly. There are one or two alternative angles available, so please contact me if you'd like to see alternative pictures of this bird.
