Location: Mkuzi (Mkhuze) Game Reserve is a 40,000-hectare wildlife sanctuary that lies in the north of South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal Province. It was proclaimed a protected area in 1912 and is renowned for its birdlife, with more than 400 birds recorded there.

Mkuzi comprises a wide diversity of natural habitats allowing it to accommodate a good mix of wildlife, including black and white rhinoceros, elephant, giraffe, hippo, nyala antelope, blue wildebeest, impala, kudu, and other smaller antelope.
