Helmeted Guineafowl are gregarious, often moving in flocks as they hunt through grass and scrub for seeds and insects. At any perceived threat the whole flock tends to run or scuttle off, so they're not as easy to photograph as one would expect. As this one took a break from its constant foraging and pecking in the grass, it paused long enough for a photo.
