Early morning in the Kruger Park, at the crossing to a small river, we stumbled on this wonderful array of birds. The river had stopped running, leaving only a shallow pool in which small fish were trapped, providing a ready source of food for the storks, spoonbills, herons, geese, and other waterbirds that soon gathered. Of these, the Yellowbilled Storks were most prominent and this photo shows one with a fish in its bill.
